Litehouse YMCA Branch Executive: Tammy Campbell

Tammy is excited to be joining the Sandpoint community as Branch Executive of the Sandpoint YMCA. Tammy has spent almost seven years with the Y in various roles. She was a part of the team that opened up the North Spokane YMCA, and most recently served as Associate Branch Executive of the Central Spokane YMCA. Born and raised in the Inland Northwest, Tammy grew up in a household dedicated to serving the community. Her mother was a teacher and her father served in the Air Force and later became a firefighter. Today she enjoys spending time with her three children and husband, often visiting their cabin on Priest Lake during the summer season.

Tammy says she is eager to get to know the Sandpoint community better and learn all the ways the Y can help them thrive. “The current team at the Sandpoint West Athletic Club have done a marvelous job of fostering a community of people who want to better themselves,” Tammy said. “I can’t wait to continue their efforts and bring some of the community programs the YMCA offers to Sandpoint.” Tammy will dedicate time and efforts to meeting with community members to identify the best ways to help people, “the Y aims to help people holistically and offer any kind of help we can. We want to offer programs so that everyone can thrive.”

Tammy was honored as our 2017 Cause Driven Leader at this year’s Annual Meeting. The award is for those who set an amazing example of the type of caring and passionate people we have working at the YMCA. Watch her story to see why she won the award and what working at the Y means to her:
