Grades 8-12

Experience the democratic process from the inside. Youth Legislature is a student-directed model offering teens the opportunity to develop leadership skills, explore a career in public service, write and critique law, and travel to Olympia, WA, each May with teens from around the state. 2018 will be the 71st delegation. Youth Legislature - YMCA Delegations

Grades 8 - 12 Registration Opens Oct 2017

Experience the democratic process from the inside. Youth Legislature is a student-directed model offering teens the opportunity to develop leadership skills, explore a career in public service, write and critique law, and travel to Olympia for the 70th Youth Legislature with teens from around the state. Central Spokane Y Delegation: First Meeting / Informational session TBA
Meetings Days/Time: Every Thursday from 5:30pm - 7pm

North Spokane Y Delegation: First Meeting / Informational session, TBA Fall 2017

All Delegations travel to Olympia, WA - May 2018
Total Fee: TBA Program Members / TBA Youth & Y Members 

In order to ensure that the cost of this program does not prevent anyone from participating, we have scholarships available for those that apply.  Delegations also participate in numerous fundraising opportunities to reduce out of pocket expense to the participants.

*Accommodations include hotel room, transportation, four breakfasts and four dinners while in Olympia (5 days).  Students are responsible for lunches.

Program Scholarships also available through the YMCA of the Inland Northwest

Payment Schedule: 
$50 due at registration (deducted from Total Fee) by Dec 16, 2017
50% of Total Fee due by Jan 30, 2018
75% of Total Fee due by Feb 27, 2018
Total fees (including financial aid) due to YMCA of the Inland Northwest no later than March 31, 2018 in order to attend trip to Olympia.
